Abstract
Recently, Rogowski coil has been used
extensively instead of iron core current transformer due to the great
advantages of this coil as compared to the iron core current transformer. But,
Rogowski coil suffers from low sensitivity and increased error at low currents
so that, this project aims at improving the sensitivity and reducing the error
when using Rogowski coil. The improvement is carried out by controlling the
magnetic properties of its core by using a low cost silicone rubber core and
modifying its magnetic properties by using micro and nanofillers. An
experimental study is done and an improved performance is achieved especially
with the nanofilled core.
